How can transmedia narrative design provoke remote teleworkers to have more self-awareness and thought about stress and anxiety
After redesigning, I reprinted a brand new “ROOM I”. In addition to the brand itself mentioned earlier, I redesigned the map for “board games” to make it more interesting. The following is the latest design after printed.
About the stakeholders
Since the positioning of homeworkers was not completely clear before, nowadays, with good technological development and popularization, everyone is surrounded by electronic equipment and information. The situation is interlinked, so cognitive problems are widespread. . This is a social problem, not a personal problem.
Secondly, work from home requires a strong network and technological support, so people suitable for work from home will face varying degrees of technology and information impact. This is a question that needs to be considered by all home workers. People who have no problems will pay attention to the issues to avoid them in the future, while those who have issues can start to adjust.
If there is a blind spot in my project, it’s like: a home worker does not have a mobile phone or a computer and does not read books or newspapers. This situation may be very special, so I did not consider it.
So my target audience is people who work from home, if I have to say something specifically: people who work from home use technology products for work or leisure.
But to facilitate the implementation of the experiment, the target audience of my experiment is home workers in London. There are no national or ethnic restrictions. Everyone is in a highly information-based and high-tech city. And I will choose the delivery method to send the project to the participants and develop a web version to facilitate more people to experience it.
Here are the steps to use:
- Understand the project background story
- Feel the positive state through smile and mirror.
- Relax yourself through the relaxing board
- Rethink through “friendly sea”

While making the narrative video, I also made a narrative manual, I hope this manual can better guide my stakeholders.

How to get feedback
After that, I created two forms to compare the changes after stakeholders tried to experience the project. I invited friends to recommend some stakeholders that met my project requirements and started the intervention.

After I found four users and tried the first day, I found several problems
- The step of printing photos is very complicated, I need to think about alternatives.
- The project is sometimes difficult to accurately convey what I want people to do, and my follow-up explanation will take a lot of time.
Regarding the second point, I am trying to incorporate narrative storytelling into the project, instead of explicitly giving out the same detailed content as the product manual. This attempt does require more reference to related theories.
In short, I need to complete the video and find more people to test the video on Monday. At the same time, I also started the online version of the project, hoping to test more stakeholders. The questionnaire also needs to be revised, and more conclusions need to be combined with the questionnaire on the last day.
